D’Ark is an adventure game created in Visyon for the Barcelona World Games, where players could play in multiplayer mode and travel through the different levels of a starship, where they’ll find different obstacles that must be solved together to be able to go to next levels and accomplished the mission save the humanity. My initial contribution to the this project was the creation of all the graphic elements that will support the experience and help the user to go across the game, but once I tried the game….

PROBLEM

Due to the complexity of the game tests, the user experience was very confusing, it should be guided all the time by our technical team.

HUD


For connect our technical team to the game and help the players in a more natural and immersive environment, the developers team’s an me We come up with the idea to create a HUD that supported each part of the game facilitating the interaction. Using three elements, microphone, that give the opportunity to talk to their partner and the head of the mission(us), headphones for listen the indications and graphic elements that support each step in the mission.

 UX PRINCIPLES

The player must be connected all the time with the game, they must know all the time what is happen in each step and the most important the experience must be not disturbing must be inmersive.

The visual elements were divided into 3 areas, the HUD of the helmet, different graphic elements to incorporate into virtual spaces and support the user and the design of an interactive table used in the first mission of the game.
