EXPLORING
INNER SPACE

PRODUCT EXPERIENCE

A medical company came to us to launch new technology that allows doctors to practice surgery without invasive procedures, by doing a small incision and controlling the equipment with a joystick. They wanted to create a firsthand experience of using the product, so it was not just informative, but involving too.

INSIGHT

Everyone likes to feel like a child again, and what he likes a boy, playing with his console.

THE PROBLEM

The medical conferences are usually boring and test new products can become very tedious.

CONCEPT

Recalling the Joe Dante film, “Inner Space”, where an individual is introduced to the human body and travels inside living endless adventures. We want to recreate that experience by placing a surgeon himself inside the human body. He will physically enter the Aorta Artery to combat the illness, using the actual control on the Medtronic device.

HOW TO BRING
THIS TO LIVE

We are going to  building a tubular structure, At the entrance of the structure you can see a little of what is about and you’re invited to go inside. Inside the user realised that is walking inside the human body, in the arteria; the floor feels soft and padded, the bubbly audio, the lighting... a massive 9 m2 screen in front of you shows the blood, the arterial walls, the red blood cells. The device is there and he/she is going to grab the joystick and the experience start.
